Brushing Teeth 1

#Ayurved_For_You

Brushing teeth

Like Neem, Namak and Charcoal used by our ancestors, Ayurved tells to use twigs of different plants for cleaning teeth. A twig stick is made soft at one end by chewing. Chewing separates the fibres of the stick and gives soft bristles like brush. It also gives out juices which are helpful for gums and teeth. The formed bristles are used to brush teeth and to gently clean gums.
Neem, Banyan, Babool, Kattha, Arjuna, Karanja etc can be used for that.

But who will do that? Where to find Neem everyday. So we have to adjust. Adjust by using Ready made Brushes and toothpaste with Neem.
That is also fine. Although it is a bypass at least we are using Ayurved.

But there is another way to be happy for following Ayurved; that is by following time of Brushing. Ayurved says use Brush every morning and after food. Means we should brush teeth not just in the morning, but also every time after we have food.
We had this healthy habit of maintaining oral health by cleaning teeth after every meal; but now with time, we have lost that as well.
